Update @ 5 weeks, 6 days.

So far. . .so good? Not exactly.  But not exactly bad either.  Now it's the for-real waiting game. . .

When I found out I was pregnant, I ran ran ran to the doctor for a beta - and wasn't terribly pleased by it - but at least it doubled and my progesterone levels went up!

And then they went down.

I'm glad I even asked them to test that.  Here's what we have so far:

HCG & progesterone levels:
DPO 12: 32 & 13
DPO 14: 75 & 15
DPO 21: 1819 & 13.4

The day after my last test - they put me on a progesterone supplement called Crinone.  I have a couple of thoughts and concerns about that:

1) Is dropping progesterone = miscarriage waiting to happen
2) Therefore I'm delaying the inevitable
3) Or do I have a progesterone deficiency (ala short Luteal Phase), and did I have it with my son?
4) But why would it DROP instead of just being low?
5) Does this mean Downs? or Something similar?

I can't wait to have the U/S on the 28th - and see that the baby is measuring normal and has a heart beat.  I'm taking it day by day,  but it's VERY hard this waiting thing.

I REALLY can't wait till March 23rd - when I hit 10 weeks and can sign up for a CVS to test for genetic defects.  At my age - the percentages are not good.  Until I hear back from that (11-14 days after the test), I won't be able to relax.

I go back on Thursday to get more blood work drawn and see if the progesterone is going up.

Here's where we stand:
- Boobs are sore
- I keep grabbing them to ensure they are still sore
- Sometimes in public
- Progesterone supplements can make your boobs sore, so this could all be a big joke on me
- A twinge of nausea over a week ago, nothing since
- Temp dropped back to ~98.6 (still high, but I want it higher)
- Pooping has gone back to normal as of Saturday.  I should be constipated!
- I have been sick as a dog the past 4 days with a cold - maybe that's messing things up.

Straight-up: I don't feel pregnant.  And I find that alarming.

But, in case you haven't noticed, I'm not an optimist when it comes to this business.
